Does anyone know of a really cheap trip for two to the beach?

I'm from Louisiana and I would also need cheep tickets.

3. With gas prices being what they are, I don't think what you are thinking is possible. However, I do know that it is possible to drive from Houston, TX to Pensacola, FL in just one day (including stops in Biloxi, MI to shop and gamble). So you could probably drive to Florida to the beach in just one day and get a room at a cheap motel near the beach for the weekend.
4. I'd check out hotels.com or yahoo travel.
5. Ormond Beach is just north of Daytona on A1A, so you can enjoy whatever Daytona has to offer without actually having to deal with Daytona or pay for being in Daytona. There is a little motel called "Aqua Terrace" right on the beach with reasonable rates and very clean rooms. There is also a very sweet little French bakery near the hotel with delicious baguettes and all sorts of treats. Aqua Terrace has little picnic tables and you can enjoy a baguette on the beach. I highly recommend staying here, as it is quiet and cheap and very relaxing to be able to enjoy Florida's east coast.
