- If you are looking for cheap accommodation, why don't you try the outskirts of New Jersey. Some of the good ones are affordable and they may offer bus services to NYC. There is always PATH train to NYC. Once you are in NYC, all you need is a map and rely on trains. If you can walk, you probably can see most of the attractions unless you want to visit some exotic places like UN building, SOHO, etc.
- I dont recommend staying in a hotel in manhattan. You can try the the other boroughs such as Queens and Brooklyn. It will only take a maximun of 30 mins-40 mins to get to most part of manhattan.
- My friend, may I recommend the Chelsea Inn in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. Rooms there start at $99 night and up, and you're near all the major attractions. I've included a link to the hotel below.
Another hotel I would recomment, would be the New Yorker Hotel on 34th Street and 8th Avenue, not far from the Empire State Building and Hearld Square. Rooms there start at $139 a night.
Other hotels on the list that will be very helpful.
Chelsea Lodge
The Hotel Wolcott
The Madison Hotel
I've included a link to each hotel below, I hope this information is very helpful. Good luck and happy travels
Native New Yorker
- I strongly recommend a simply issue-oriented site.
I'm pretty sure you can find what you need.
