Can anyone recommend a website for a cheap LA trip?

Hey! Looking to go to LA for a week in early may, can anyone recommend a good cheap airline to fly with and some cheap accomodation?
I'm travelling from London.

2. I live in san diego and I would reccomend coming here and not there if you are just looking for a trip to socal. However, if you must go to LA, try southwest.com, they usually have good prices. Also, any of the big trip search sites like travelocity, yahoo travel, cheaptickets. But hey, ya should still come to San Diego, trust me......WAY nicer!!!!!! LA is dirty....literally.
3. Try any of the major travel consolidators such as Orbitz, Travelosity, Priceline, etc, then after you find the lowest fare go to that airlines website and price the exact itinerary. Sometimes that is even lower because the airlines fare does not include a brokers commission. As far as lodging is concerned you will find most accommodations in Los Angeles proper relatively expensive. You may find it more economical to rent a car and stay in one of the 55 surrounding suburbs. Welcome to the "States" and enjoy your stay. With all respect to Ali, Southwest Airlines does not fly to London.
