is it better to wait last minute to buy plane tickets i am planning a trip from Montreal to Mexico in 2 weeks?

it's a one way ticket from YUL to MEX on monday 1st october. I checked last week and found tickets at 270$ but today i can't find less than 430! :( Should i wait last minute or buy as soon as possible?

1. MY EXPERIENCE IS TOO ALWAYS BUY THEM AT THE LAST MINUTE
2. Normally it is best to purchase airline tickets a few months in advance as it gets more expensive the closer you are to the departure date. I'd check tomorrow and see if the price drops.
3. I would definitely check those tickets prices everyday and grab your opportunity as soon as they become cheaper!

4. Sometimes you get last min. deals but they may be standby.
