Marco Island Florida - What are some easy day trips from there and good places.?

If you hire a car what are some good day trips.? IS Naples worth visiting? Are there any Everglades charters worth recommending? Cheers from the aussie tourist... :-)

1. You'll be very close to the Everglades and the Ten Thousand Island area. I'd look for a boat and do a little fishing.
   
   
   
   Not too far up SR 92 is Collier-Seminole State Park. This is one of the better state parks to visit in the area. Everglades City, East of you, is the Everglades-Gulf Coast Visitors Center. Here park rangers put on a good show while taking you on a boat ride through a mangrove swamp. Bring plenty of bug spray.
   
   
   
   Naples is worth visiting, try the old downtown area. You'll need to park you car and do some walking.
   
   
   
   East on US 41, are a few Seminole Indian villages worth visiting. The Seminoles also give a great airboat ride through the Everglades.
