Trip

How should I prepare for a Two day greyhound trip?

In december I'm planning on Traveling from California to Indiana. It should be a two day trip.I'd like to know if anyone has any good advice on what I should take, and how I could prepare for the trip.

I already plan on having extra money for traveling back, snacks, a pillow, and a CD player.

  1. wet wipes to freshen up, mints or mouthwash, a book or two, fresh socks and maybe a roll of TP, just in case.

Purell hand sanitizer, a small can of Lysol for the toilet on the bus.
  2. I suggest you avoid Greyhound - well

unless you LOVE TO STAND ON A very crowded

bus for hours on end or be stranded at a bus station

waiting for 2nd section of a run that might not

even come though and then having the station close on you so you are forced to wait outside for 2 hours then bus comes and its not even operated by Greyhound and that driver

doesnt speak English and doesnt know how to get

    to Seattle from Portland Oregon!

or having the restroom overflow having sewage all over the bus or having the bus catch fire, or being forced

to walk 3 miles off a freeway to the bus station when the bus broke down on the freeway

or ended in the worst part of town (most Greyhound stations

are in the worst part of towns)

NOW do you still want to take Greyhound

I suggest you try Amtrak -you can also more around more

and food is much better as well

(plus if you can afford you can get a sleeper then all

your meals are included with the sleeper fare)
  3. -a little blanket

-i would also bring a change of clothes and toothbrush/paste..youll have time to change during a stop or layover, and youll just start to feel all gross by the time you get to the 2nd day..so it helps to have stuff to clean up with.

-asperins always good to have..just cuz it never hurts to have just in case you need it.

-things to occupy you like something to read, write on, etc..

    -batteries for your cd player

-cell phone charger for your cell phone (they have charging stations at the bus stops for that)

hum..i'll let you know if i think of more. hehe. =)
