Good Place to go for Family vacation to the beach?

My boyfriend and I are taking our first blended family trip with our kids together ages 15, 9, & 8. I wanted it to be a solo trip for us to Puerto Rico, but now the kids are coming along and that may prove too costly, so what is another kid friendly and adult friendly beach destination that can also be cheap caribbean or pretty American waters?

1. The Oregon Coast is absolutely beautiful!!
   
   Newport in particular = ) There are a ton of things to do.
   
   Walking on the beach is awesome cuz you can find lots of things especially after the tide goes out in the tide pools.
2. Myrtle Beach in South Carolina is an excellent and beautiful place to go for a family beach vacation. Much cheaper than Florida or any tropical destination too!
   
   
   
   Definitely worth looking in to.
3. Boracay Island in the PHILIPPINES!
