How long out a trip to Spain from California take in a plane?

My parents are planning a trip to Spain and they want to know how long its going to take from California to Spain?

2. California to NYC or Atlanta: 5+ hours.
   
   NYC or Atlanta to Madrid: 7 hours
   
   
   
   12 hours in the air.
3. According to Delta.com it is 11 hours and 30 minutes nonstop coming back it is only 10 hours and 15 minutes
